  1. Inferno Warp released Boards of Canada’s Inferno on 29 May 2026, catalogue WARP496. It is their first studio album since Tomorrow’s Harvest in 2013. The vinyl credits most of the writing to Mike Sandison.
  2. Music Has the Right to Children Warp and Skam released Boards of Canada’s Music Has the Right to Children on 20 April 1998. Michael Sandison and Marcus Eoin recorded it at Hexagon Sun. Twoism and Hi Scores had already circulated in small runs.
  3. I’m Outside They’re already on the curb in the rain. The blue bubble says I’m outside. Your other boot is still missing, and the night is starting without you.
  4. Play Mute released Moby’s Play on 17 May 1999. It set Alan Lomax’s field singers inside electronic songs, then licensed every track. The singers were not the ones who got paid.
  5. Get Ready! Get Ready for This began as a white-label instrumental in Antwerp in May 1991. The voices, the British edit, and the sports arenas came after.
  6. Walking Wounded Virgin released Everything but the Girl’s Walking Wounded in Europe on 6 May 1996. Todd Terry’s remix of Missing had already turned the duo into a dancefloor fact. This is the album that took the fact seriously.
