Honey Dijon’s Black Girl Magic landed on Classic Music Company like Chicago never left the booth. “Work,” “In the Club” with Eve, Pabllo Vittar and Urias on “Everybody,” Channel Tres, Mike Dunn, Luke Solomon: a family affair with a kick that still means something at 4am.

She did not come to rescue house. She has been here the whole time, holding four-on-the-floor while everybody else was livestreaming from the kitchen. This is the second album, and it feels like a night she designed and then opened the door.
