Before the catalogue had a spine, there was a folder of loops somebody couldn’t throw away. Honest labels start like that — not with a campaign. With a desk at 1:17 and a sample that still has dust on it.

CJ Archer’s beat tape is short instrumentals: drums that don’t audition, flips that keep their fingerprints. Nothing here is begging to be a single. That’s the charm. Late, stubborn, a little in love with the crackle.
